What makes a good forum rule?

We have rules for the obvious stuff, but which small rule makes a board nicer to use? Curious what people actually notice.

I think a rule about not bumping old threads for no reason helps. Some boards get clogged with year-old topics just because someone felt like saying "first". Also, a clear rule against signature image spam keeps things readable.
