metalhead84 its not just about viruses. i'm talking about the computer doing things on its own, like the webcam light flickering when im not using it. and auntiem yeah blockbusters is safer but you still gotta wonder why they want you to rent the matrix so bad. its like they want you to see it.

Kev, just unplug it if you're worried. No need to get all worked up! I'm off to the video shop now, see if they've got any good comedies. A cuppa and a laugh is just what's needed. xx

auntiem unplugging it doesn't stop it. i tried that and the light still flickered sometimes. and webwitch i know it sounds crazy but the timing is too perfect. matrix comes out on video, kazaa downloads go weird, computers start acting up. anyone else notice how everyones talking about the matrix suddenly?

1. MetalHead84, a GeForce 2 MX is a solid budget choice. It'll run Quake fine.
2. ConspiracyKev, the webcam light is probably just a driver issue or a stuck pixel. Unplug it and check your processes in Task Manager. It's not the Matrix.

Kev, you're really going on about the Matrix now! Razz I just got back with my comedy film, 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' - much more my cup of tea. A good laugh is what's needed, not all this conspiracy stuff. xx

auntiem you're missing the point. i'm not talking about viruses or malware. i'm talking about the timing. the matrix comes out on video, and suddenly everyone's computers start acting weird? and siliconsam you say it's a driver issue but how do you explain the webcam light flickering at 3am when i'm asleep? has anyone else had their computer do something like that after watching the matrix?

1. ConspiracyKev, you're still seeing patterns. The webcam light flickering at 3am is a power management setting or a loose connection, not the Matrix.
2. AuntieM, Four Weddings is a classic. Good choice.

ConspiracyKev, you're really going for it now lol. The webcam light is probably just your power settings or a dodgy driver, not the machines taking over. Though I will admit, the sequels look pretty epic from the trailers. Anyone else gonna watch them when they come out?

SiliconSam is right about the driver situation. Voodoo cards are a headache on anything newer than Windows 98. If you're set on keeping it, check the 3dfx section on VOGONS, but a cheap GeForce would save you a lot of time.

If it works, don't patch it on Friday.
